| **edit: i finally have my shoes! both black, both size 5.5! FINALLY! woooot!
*edit: boston barneys finally received my shoes today. it took fedex freaking 3 weeks to get them there!!! they've credited back my 2nd pair of mismatched shoes & offered me a mere additional 10% off the shoes if i still want them. i reluctantly accepted (that's almost 70% off the original price...can't complain). they'll be here monday. if something else goes wrong, all hell will break loose.
i never thought the day would come where i would curse my favorite store. i bought these super cute patent leather round toe louboutins in NY only to realize the horror once back in LA that i got two different color shoes! i noticed in the sunlight that the left shoe is navy blue & the right is black. i sent them back to NY & they had to order me another pair from the boston barneys. i received the BLACK shoes today, but get this, they are two different sizes now!!!!!!!!!!!!!! left is a 5.5 & right is a 6.5! this is seriously ridiculous.

during the holidays, retail chains bring out their seasonal items from the secret vault. mcdonalds proudly announces, "the McRib is back!" (as if we ever missed it) and starbucks brews their peppermint mochas & eggnog lattes (does anyone ever get that? eggnog is creamy enough...do you have to add more milk to it and make it a latte?!) i wonder if people in LA especially get more excited about these seasonal items, since these are the few visual cues we have to feel the holiday spirit. seeing the snow flake red starbucks cups do make me feel like christmas is here, but i quickly forget as i walk out into lukewarm 70 degree weather. we're going to NYC next week, and it'll definitely feel like christmas over there, but in the meantime, i'll be decorating our tree, sipping peppermint mochas, and eating McRibs (j/k! those are so gross...how do they get the meat into that rib shape?!) to get in the christmas spirit! | | |
